Big business.  It’s no secret that the most profitable companies are from the oil industries.  You have oil wells, distribution pipelines, mega refineries and chains of gas pumps around the globe and a whole set of industries and commerce that depend on them to thrive.

If someone suddenly announces on CNN he has discovered how to propel a Ferrari using water, oil magnates and conglomerates will exert every muscle to silence this poor guy.

For sure, he’ll be an instant millionaire.  They are not about to throw away trillions of investment overnight to give the world a revolutionary way to power their homes and their cars. They can talk all they like about alternate energy sources.  But that’s just that, a supplementary alternate.  But not to replace the black gold.
