The Porsche Carrera GT9
There are some new exciting cars coming out to beat the Veyron’s 1005bhp power and 250mph top speed, making it the fastest production car on earth. For a long while, the McLaren F1 held the record at 220mph top speed on a 750bhp engine.
Ferrari and Lamborghini are in the drawing boards to make sure they don’t get left out in the running. Porsche is said to come out with a modified Carrera GT in 2010 – a 911 GT9 sporting a less powerful engine that will match or exceed the Veyron’s trail-blazing 250mph.
The engine’s power will not breech the Veyron’s 1005bhp but since the Carrera has a much lighter body weight, the power-to-weight ratio will result in faster speeds and better performance.
