The Hybrid Koenigsegg CCXR Supercar
The Hybrid 250mph Koenigsegg CCXR is expected to debut next year to take away the crown from the Bugatti Veyron as the fastest production supercar on earth.
Koenigsegg modified its earlier CCX’s 5-litre twin supercharged V8 to use E85 biofuel – a stronger octane fuel. This makes the CCXR a green supercar that is reported to produce 1,018bhp – 200bhp higher than the regular CCX and 13bhp more than the Veyron.
The older CCX already registers 245mph top speed – just a shadow behind the Bugatti Veyron. But the new CCXR built around the same chassis and body styling as the CCX is expected to exceed 255mph and, hence, beat the Veyron.
The Koenigsegg CCXR will be unveiled next year at the Geneva motor show. 0-60mph is 2.9 seconds are just over £1M +VAT. Any takers?
