I guess it’s bound to happen.  Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) have been used in various electronic gadgets for decades now.  And the last 5 years have seen the introduction of this lighting technology in other areas, starting with desk lamps, flashlights and then to automobiles.

The new generation LEDs dramatically emit more luminescence.  With brighter illumination at lower energy consumption, the application gets a lot wider.

Often used in an array of many LEDs in various shapes and sizes, LEDs are now standard in many recent models that we see on the road.  And there are after-market kits for specific car makes that can convert your old headlight and tail light bulb assemblies to one.  If you want to conserve your car batteries a lot longer, this is the way to go.
