With peak oil prices very much at our doorstep, if not there already, it’s only logical to look for alternate sources of fuel for our favorite and indispensable cars.  We have so many prototypes of electric cars unveiled in motor shows for the last decade.  But nothing really moved them into mainstream production.  Until now.

So what kept them?  For sure the R&D cost still poses a real business challenge to recover.  But the compelling realities are such that we don’t get one soon enough, we can only face steeper pump prices over the next few months.  And where will it all end?  The question demands alternative sources.  Fossil fuels will soon get depleted and it’s just a matter of time.
