That Ferrari F430 I saw burning on the Southern highway in the Philippines was so thorough, it literally left nothing where the engine was.  This was about 2 years go.  Re-visiting some pics I accidentally saw on the net made me think the owner could have done something if the car had a fire extinguisher in the trunk.

That 2-seater Ferrari isn’t exactly one of the more spacious models though I think there’s some space behind the seats.  I heard that fire extinguishers can exact a burden on the car at high speeds.  Jeez, that car could never make it beyond 100mph in such a heavy highway without risking life and limb.

Oh well, the owner-driver made his choice.  Too bad, he probably didn’t know that recent Ferraris have been known to just ignite without warning.  I suppose he’s got insurance for this.
